Quantum Psychology applied through a non-medical modality allows one to become aware and mindful of both the relationship between  our automatic responses and what triggers them, as well as the  mechanism, itself, of those automatic responses.

My Background

Transitioning from the business world, I returned to study my life's dream of working with others in overcoming childhood trauma and abuse. My education includes a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology through Argosy University (2007), and I am currently in the home stretch of completing a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Capella University. I am also pursuing my Doctor of Philosophy, PhD. specializing in Trans-personal Counseling through the University of Sedona.

I became disillusioned with the medical model of psychotherapy when I realized that most psychotherapist work under insurance companies dictates. Breaking away from the medical model I choose to work with Quantum Psychology, with a focus on sexual abuse trauma (PTSD) healing. Quantum Psychology removes the pathological or pathogenic aspects that the medical disease model of mental disorders prescribes. No longer is the client viewed as ill with a diagnosis in need of treatment. Consideration is given for the “holistic approach” (whole person) incorporating mind, body, and spirit.

Why I Chose the Nomadic Lifestyle

In  November 2019 I became aware of house and pet sitting, two weeks later I had sold or given away all my possessions (I did keep a 4x4 storage locker with my juicer and espresso machine). I signed up with several house-sitting platforms (Trusted Housesitter, Housesitting America, etc.) and began my journey on the Eastern shore of Virginia. Since then I've been to Philadelphia Pennsylvania, Nashville Tennessee, Scottsdale Arizona, Richmond Maryland, Tampa, Orlando & St. Petersburg Florida, Vashon Island, Hansville & Ocean Shores Washington, Washington Utah.

I've enjoyed the company of a variety of animals, mostly dogs and cats, recently this included chickens. The benefit of house/pet sitting is no bills other than my own (cell phone, gas, food, personal bills).

Closing my psychotherapy license allowed for the opportunity to not only travel but to provide Life Coaching sessions across state lines via tele-health.

What I've come to recognize is that I love the freedom of enjoying an unlimited retreat lifestyle which allows time for personal reflection, writing and working fewer hours.

Sustainability of this nomadic lifestyle requires a mindset of freedom, flexibility and the ability to earn an income. Home is where the WiFi is!
